RAC Electric Vehicles Inc. was established in 2005 by founder Raymond Tsai for the development and manufacture of environmentally friendly vehicles. The purpose of the business is to develop new environmentally-friendly vehicles that are creative and in line with the government's energy conservation and carbon reduction goals, and create the most important benchmark business and platform for the green energy industry. RAC uses high-capacity yttrium lithium batteries, and works closely with domestic manufacturers in Taiwan to develop high-power motor drive systems (including regenerative brakes), as well as cooperating with leading manufacturers of battery management systems and vehicle power control systems. All products of RAC are developed in-house or co-developed with partners. Only 20% of the large-sized EV bus was manufactured domestically at the time of its initial creation. At present, the domestic value-added rate of large and medium-sized electric buses has reached the standards set by the government.
